Last week we visited the remodeled Brick City Park located at 1211 SE 22 Road. For those of you who are better with landmarks like I am, it is tucked right behind St. Johns off Lake Weir Ave. It is a great park with lots of fun playground equipment, picnic tables, restrooms and even a trail that goes back around the quarry. (*Trail is not stroller friendly!)

This is a good park for warm sunny days as there is a nice amount of shade. There is also access to the football field and track below. We have visited several times and the park has always been well cared for and the groundskeepers are super nice.

I have heard a lot of good things about the school in our district but having both been raised in Christian schools we feel led to do the same for our children. I am in the process of digging through every school website I can find and comparing each school’s methods, tuition, extra curricular activities and yes, website (I can’t help myself).

This change from pre-school to kindergarten is a little scary for me. Our oldest son is so full of energy I’m not sure that he is physically capable of sitting still at a desk in a quiet classroom. Are there any schools in town (or anywhere for that matter) where you learn while running and jumping and talking really loud? He doesn’t yet possess volume control.
